Title: Expansive posterior fossa cranioplasty for syringomyelia associated with Arnold-Chiari malformation
Abstract: Objective To report the experience in the treatment of expansive posterior fossa cranioplasty for syri-ngomyelia associated with Arnold-Chiari malformation. Methods Contrast the life quality of 12 patients treated by expan-sive posterior fossa cranioplasty with that of 156 patients treated only by posterior fossa decompression. Results All pati-ents got good clinical outcome with symptoms relieved. Conclusion Expansive posterior fossa cranioplasty is effective for syringomyelia associated with Arnold-Chiari malformation.
