Title: Hepatocellular Carcinoma with Metastasis to the Nasal Septum; A Case Report.
Abstract: Metastatic carcinoma to the nose and paranasal sinuses is relatively rare. We report a case of hepatocellular carcinoma with metastasis to the nasal septum and review the clinical manifestations of metastatic tumor to the nose and paranasal sinuses described in previous reports.A 62-year-old male had been treated for hepatocellular carcinoma for two years. His chief complaint was epistaxis. Anterior rhinoscopy showed a tumor on the nasal septum protruding into the left nasal cavity. The histopathological diagnosis was metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma. The tumor and nasal septum were removed. Epistaxis did not recur, and he is still alive about 7 months after the operation. The surgical treatment seemed to improve his quality of life. The possibility of metastatic tumor should be considered in the differential diagnosis of head and neck tumors.
