Title: An analysis of multiple intelligences theory and its use with the gifted and talented
Abstract: Identifying and educating gifted and talented children has been a concern in education for many years. Gardner's (1983) Multiple Intelligences theory has been used in recent years to facilitate the identification and instruction of gifted and talented children. A review and synthesis of the literature is presented. The benefits as well as cautions in the use of the multiple intelligences approach with gifted and talented students are also discussed.
