Title: Trimethylphosphine hydrides of molybdenum(II), tungsten(VI), and rhenium(VII): X-ray crystal structure of pentakis(trimethylphosphine)dihydridomolybdenum(II)
Abstract: The reduction of bis(tetrahydrofuran)tetrachloromolybdenum by magnesium under hydrogen in the presence of trimethylphosphine produces MoH2(PMe3)5 whose structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction; the hydrides WH6(PMe3)3 and ReH6(NHPh)(PMe3)2 have also been synthesised.
