Title: Intracardiac doppler hemodynamics and flow: new vector, phased-array ultrasound-tipped catheter
Abstract: Current ultrasound-tipped catheter devices are unable to provide Doppler hemodynamics and flow information in addition to imaging. As a result, application of existing intracardiac ultrasound catheters have focused almost exclusively on 2-dimensional (2-D) imaging. Intracardiac echocardiography has received increasing use, particularly in conjunction with electrophysiologic studies to guide catheter placement and ablation. 1 Packer D.L. Johnson S.B.
