Title: Human erythrocytic nadp-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase
Abstract: 1. An NADP-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase has been purified 1400-fold from human erythrocytes. 2. The mol. wt of the enzyme is estimated between 54,000 to 58,000 daltons. Sulfhydryl group(s) are essential for activity. 3. The enzyme has a low affinity towards 3-acetyl-pyridine adenine dinucleotide phosphate. The enzyme is not stimulated by ammonium ion and is stable at room temperature. 4. The enzyme resembles the NADP-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase isolated from rat liver cytosol.
