Title: Further studies in the elution of copper and neodymium from a cation-exchange resin with ammonia-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid solutions
Abstract: Results of an investigation concerned with the use of a buffering band interposed between a cation exchange retaining bed composed of sulfonated- divinylbenzene copolymer and a rare earth band are examined. The mass transports of the atomic species across band boundaries are also studied. It was shown that flat-type elution curves for Cu and Nd could be obtained while the retaining bed was varied with respect to a given eluant such as EDTA. (J.R.D.)
